FAQs

What does a Life Coach do?

The main aim of a life coach is to nurture your personal development to help you achieve your fullest potential.

In other words, a life coach is a co-creator, a partner who is by your side to listen deeply, ask skilful questions, and be fully present to you in order to help you identify what you want and how to get it.

When you work with a life coach, you can develop a deeper understanding of your personal goals and what you want your future to be.

A life coach helps you see your blind spots, and challenges your fixed views, so that you may deepen your connection to yourself and others.

Coaching is medium that can help you develop holistically into who you are and what you want to be. It allows for higher levels of achievement, satisfaction and ease with being yourself.

What is an Empowerment Coach?

There are times in your life when you feel overwhelmed with the things around you. You may feel that life is not going in the direction you want and yet, you feel powerless. Stress levels at work are driving you mad. Relationships are going southwards. The balance between work and play is completely tilted. You feel your life force is chaotic and not calm or at peace.

These are the times when an Empowerment Coach can help you identify why you are feeling helpless and the manner in which you can move forward in the direction you want. Empowerment coaching involves areas like stress management, work-life harmony, self-confidence, self-care, positive thinking, and stable relationships.

How can a Relationship Coach Help me?
A relationship coach helps you unravel the chaos in your head to arrive at what you truly want. As an objective and insightful outsider to the issue, a relationship coach can support you and enable you to look at the situation from different perspectives.

Relationship coaching is not relationship advice or marriage advice. It is not break up advice either. It is a process of self-discovery where you can assess relationships more objectively with the support, motivation, and intuitive questioning of the relationship coach.

Relationship coaching covers areas like pre-marital stress, break-ups, marriage coaching, divorce coaching, sibling relationships, teenage-parent relationships and more. It also involves effective management of other relationships like in laws, friends, co-workers, and networks!

What Coaching is NOT
Life coaching is not counselling or therapy. In most cases, coaches do not explore past issues. While mention of such issues may emerge in the coaching sessions, a coach will be more concerned with the present and the future, helping you discover ways to move forward. A coach, however, does help clients to identify blocks or obstacles by good questioning techniques to get the desired results.
How Does it Work?
Coaching typically takes place on a one-to-one basis and can occur either face-to-face, via telephone, video calls or email. The time frame that it takes to have successful coaching differs from person to person and on what goal one wants to achieve. It can be short-term where the coach helps to develop a vision, achieve a specific goal or complete a project. It can also be long-term where the client may choose to get help from the coach for multiple projects, goals and/or tasks.

Typically, a coach will listen carefully to what you want to achieve, be a great sounding board, ask questions that nudge you to think deeply and challenge you to discover your own solutions. For this a coach may use a variety of tools to inspire, build confidence and facilitate brainstorming and discovery.

What is your Process?
As your Relationship and Empowerment Coach, I help you set, clarify and maintain focus on what you want. I hold you accountable for what you say you’re going to do. I help you establish your own solutions & strategies. I encourage, support & believe in you even when you may not! I challenge you and help you recognize where you may be holding yourself back. Together we raise your self-awareness. I will ensure that you become self-reliant in the area we are coaching in as soon as you are ready!
What is Expected from a Coachee (you)?
You need to be willing to work towards achieving your goal; whatever it is. You need to be willing to be honest and open (and tell me when you cannot be). And if you are open to take responsibilities of your own actions, decisions, and life, there is nothing that will stop this process from being successful.

You also need to understand and acknowledge that you are responsible for your results. Success is directly related to your commitment and the effort you make to this process.
